Great business to work with. Customer service is friendly and will break down all details of the quote to you if you have any questions. They helped me with a new drive train for my 96 Bronco. Not a business that will rebuild major components if that's what you're looking for, they do offer high quality Jasper components though which have a great warranty.

These are my people. I have been going to DRA for over 12 years and they have never done me dirty. I get an honest assessment of my vehicle, what is wrong and then they give me a fair price. Won't do unnecessary work and you always get an advance estimate call telling you the work needed to be done. Not the cheapest, but will whip dealer prices any day! I have been bringing my cars to Dennis Road Automotive for years. James and his family have always made me feel welcome and provided fantastic customer service. They worked with my wife to suprise me for my birthday by fixing a long list of things that were broken on my car. They went above and beyond for her. My wife passed away a month ago. I brought my car in today to have a head light fixed so my car would pass inspection. My registration is due next month. I only asked for the head light to be fixed. If you are looking for an honest repair shop to do a quality repair or service for your car, Dennis Road Automotive is highly recommended. I have an old car, and I like to keep it going as long as I can since it's cheaper to do the repairs than buy a new car. They did a thorough inspection of my car and told me what work needed to be done. The work was quality and no issues. What I liked is that they told me what work had to be done to have a safe driving/working car vs. what work could be done a little later. Some repair shops will try to get you to do more than you need or do repairs that aren't needed yet. Not Dennis Road Automotive. I really trust them and plan to go back for all future repairs.

Honest, Dependable, Trustworthy I have been taking all my family vehicles to Dennis Road for more than 10 years, and now 2 of them are over 16 years old. Without a doubt, Dennis Road has reliably and cost-effectively extended the life of my vehicles. They regularly service my vehicles, are always thorough in diagnosing them, and never up-sell or replace parts that are not absolutely required. They are truly THE go-to full service auto repair shop. And then this summer, they went way above and beyond all expectation! My wife and I were on a long road trip to visit extended family members in several different states when we unexpectedly developed a strange issue. The gear shift to my 16 year old Toyota Van was not responsive in any position; not in forward, or reverse. The panic of being far out of town and maybe experiencing transmission problems was alarming. Transmission repairs often are over $3k, which would not make sense for my old vehicle. And shopping for a new or used vehicle, out of town, and during this covid-period where cars are hard to find, was an unpleasant task to consider. First thing the next morning, a Saturday, I urgently began to call for local help and advice. The Toyota dealership advised they couldn't even diagnose the issue for 3 weeks. Several national and local transmission shops could maybe work us in about 10 days. While sweating my options, I left a voicemail at Dennis Road to call me on Monday, since they are closed on Saturdays. Then, to my surprise, the Owner called me. On Saturday, after hours. I explained my problem, and then he asked to FaceTime with me to see and assess the problem so we could determine which kind of car repair shop would be best. He looked over the shifting issue and then had me show him various things under the hood. With that, he suggested the problem was not as major as a full transmission repair, and recommended taking the vehicle to a local, reputable, independent full service auto repair shop. I quickly began to look for repair shops and was able to locate one nearby that closed at 2pm. And they agreed to work me in as soon as I could get the vehicle towed in. Long story short, they found a small o-ring needed to be replaced; just a $10 part plus labor. Needless to say, I was thrilled. I truly feel I was saved lots of time that I would have lost while out of town, as well as the unpleasant potential of servicing the transmission or purchasing a new or used vehicle! Now, after our extended 2 month road trip and traveling over 4,000 miles, we are safely back in Dallas. Once again, Dennis Road provided me superior service! And I'll be in soon for my regular servicing and oil change. Thank you, guys!

I took my vehicles to James, Jeremy, Riley, and the team at Dennis Road Automotive for the entire 6 years I lived in the DFW area and - in my 26 years as a licensed driver who has almost exclusively owned higher mileage vehicles (i.e., no shortage of work to be performed) - I took vehicles to many other mechanics prior to that. Dennis Road Automotive is the best for many reasons: the utmost integrity, great customer service and commitment to their customers, quality work, outstanding value, and countless other positive attributes. They will treat your vehicle as though it's their own, including in their recommendations; Dennis Road earns enough work the right/old-fashioned way to where the last thing they need to do is drum up fake work that needs to be done on your vehicle and their recommendations can be taken at face value. If you treat the Dennis Road team fairly and with respect, and give them the opportunity to partner with you in maintaining your vehicle, then they will return the favor many times over and take great care of you. There is very minimal turnover among their mechanics for good reason, and James, Jeremy, and Riley have worked together leading the operation for years. As an example of all Dennis Road entails, Riley drove more than 30 minutes from his home to meet me at my vehicle on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend (i.e., the shop was officially closed) when the vehicle began leaking oil shortly after a recent oil change. The issue turned out to be completely unrelated to the oil change (an oil coolant line had begun leaking on a vehicle with almost 200,000 miles), but that situation defines who Dennis Road is and how they handle their business. When I moved roughly 45 minutes away from Dennis Road several years back, I didn't even think about looking for another mechanic closer to my new home - it is not possible that there is a better shop in the entire DFW area, and I'm grateful to Dennis Road for all they've done for my vehicles and myself in the last 6 years.

Dennis Road Automotive is not the most expensive and not the cheapest. What you get is fast, quality service. They will install the cheaper parts customers furnish, but recommend using OEM quality parts. Not many shops allow this. Dennis Road Automotive is definitely recommended. They have a climate controlled shop that allows mechanics to do quality work.

This place is awesome! I made an appointment online they got my vehicle in the next day, they did a diagnostic test and located the problem. This shop has prices that are competitive and the work is done well. The guys are trustworthy and it is a family owned business that has noticeably good customer service. One time I brought my 12 year old car in with a list of work from the dealer, and these guys did it for a much lower price and the car runs great! It's good to have a shop nearby that you can trust.

Everyone here was very helpful from the beginning of the car repair process to the end. If I could give them 10 stars I would! We had our check engine light on and were prepared for a $1,500 bill. They called back and a wire was not plugged in correctly so they only charged us for the diagnostic plus $45. What a relief! An HONEST mechanic. We are customers for life. I am a FOREVER customer with Dennis Road Automotive. They have a gentleman named Riley working there who has the absolute BEST customer service I have ever received. He informed of everything that was going on with my car, offered me cookies and water while I waited, even worked with me on the price of repairs. Everyone there was so nice and welcoming. I really felt like my car was in good hands. I am beyond satisfied with the repairs done to my car. It's driving the way it did when I first purchased it. I like that the mechanics are older gentleman because that means they have a lot of experience, which means they know their stuff. I took it to a different mechanic before I came here and had to take it back twice! Not only that, but I was also informed by Riley that they put the wrong parts on my car. Return customer, & I'll continue to bring all my auto repair business here! When a shop that SELLS engines recommends this shop to INSTALL them, you know you're getting good counsel. James & team replaced motor in my 1994 Toyota pickup, talked me through their recommendation to handle a few preventative repairs while the block was out...with the intent to save me future labor costs. It's back to nearly-new performance. Then, after inheriting a 40-year old Chevy Suburban (lake car), we needed a multipoint inspection. Their thorough analysis of the vehicle's condition, plus ensuring I understood the ongoing concerns of operating a near-classic auto gave me the confidence to proceed with a slate of repairs... and now it's such a joy to drive! These guys do an awesome job ! I've taken 3 personal vehicles to them for brakes, axle repair, oil changes, pretty much anything you can think of and I always get a fair price and never have to worry about surprises. When I was in charge of a fleet of 60 vehicles they handled them as well and we always could trust them to fix only what absolutely needed to be fixed and they always looked out for our best interest on high mileage vehicles. Nothing like waking up to car issues. I found the shop that was closest to take my car at 7:30 am. No appointment and a Service Engine light on and blinking. Took my car to the shop, and when they opened a service tech came out to go over what was wrong. The tech supplied me with a ride to work and two follow up calls discussing the issue. Thankfully, the issues were minor. As well, the cost was a lot less than I had planned. I would definitely come back again, as well recommend them to anyone I know. Great job and a happy, thankful customer!!

Cannot recommend this place enough! I had my vehicle being serviced by a local Ford dealership but was not thrilled by the last two services. My neighbor is a district manager for a National auto parts chain and recommended this shop to me. Went yesterday and spoke with Jeremy, I wanted an oil change, was looking at after-market suspension upgrade, possible brake fluid replacement and work on my blind spot indicator. I drop the vehicle off at noon on Wednesday, it was ready by 5pm that evening. I got a complete brief from Jeremy as to what was done and why. He reviewed company specifications for certain services to be performed. They did an oil change, troubleshot my blind spot indicator, did a brake fluid replacement. They reviewed the air filter and cabin filter--both did need not replacing which I knew since I did that less than 4k miles ago. Did not try to up sell me on a suspension package--said mine were still good showing no signs of leakage. Folks, if you are in need of a good shop. A shop that you want to develop a relationship with and remain with for a long period of time, guys--THIS IS THE PLACE!

This business and the people are amazing....we've been customers for several years and I'm sorry I didn't find them sooner (and I liked my last shop!). They have the ability to handle complex diagnostics and big repairs as well as the simple stuff. We tend to keep our cars a little too long, so I know these things! They've kept us running and have advised us when it's no longer worth fixing. They are now helping us with pre-buy inspections and again, their expertise and knowledge are invaluable. We like the fact that they are a family business and appreciate their honesty, reasonable prices and expertise. We plan to be customers forever. Man these guys are my homeboys! Chose them based on yelp reviews a couple years ago and was so impressed with every aspect of doing business with them I've been a regular ever since! They definitely have my long term commitment to place all my auto repair needs in their hands for as long as I live within distance. I drive 50k/yr on a 3/4 ton HD for work (independent contractor), so they see me fairly often. They've done everything for me from routine maintenance to tranny swap and everything in between. I've referred friends and coworkers multiple times who were all equally satisfied. Every member of the staff here is as friendly as ever, eager to help, always honest, direct, trustworthy, highly competent people. Should have left a stellar review long long ago, but I don't computer much.

The guys at Dennis Road Auto were extremely helpful when I took my vehicle for a prepurchase inspection. They walked me around the vehicle while it was still lifted to show me what all they were looking at. It was an extra touch that really made the trip worth it. I will be heading to these guys again for sure!

I was considering a used car but needed help in evaluating the car. Went to Dennis Road Automotive after doing an internet search. I made an appointment the day prior and the entire checkup took a little over an hour. They spotted a few minor things which they pointed out to me, but said the car was in great mechanical shape overall. Thank you! I would highly recommend.

Highly recommend to do Pre-Purchase Inspection here before you buy an used car. Today I sent them an used SUV for the inspection. They found rust and didn't recommend me to buy it. They saved me tons of money in the future, and even didn't charge me anything. Great service and professional ! Thanks a lot !!!

Took my 2008 Ford Edge for some much needed work. Transmission needed new sensors, rotors resurfacing and brakes. James and Jeremy know what it means to give fantastic customer service. Your car is like a member of the family. It needs to be cared for and maintained. Without it, getting around would be a horrible experience. Friendly, fair, thorough, accommodating... What more could you want? They are the best shop I've been to anywhere in the country - and I've lived many places (a close second is Autograff Motor Works in Salt Lake City). Dennis Road Automotive gave me a ride home while I left the truck in the shop all day - that was wonderful! (I do live within 2 miles tho). Just go see them. You'll be warmly welcomed, completely informed and reasonably charged for quality work. I'm now a regular and I would recommend them to anyone.

Excellent service. Brought my car in for a second opinion about some work Pep Boys said HAD to be done ASAP. A mechanic stopped his lunch break to come check it out and then they showed me exactly what they were seeing and that my car was fine. They didn't come up with any work they could charge me for. They didn't even charge me for the inspection. I was super impressed.

The guys at Dennis Road Automotive are great! As a woman, I expected I might have some trouble with "car guys". These gentlemen took the time to tell me about the initial costs to look over all the problems my car was having, called to tell me about what they found, ask how I wanted to proceed, and worked with me to split up the work to fit my budget. I initially took my car to the dealership to get a "looking it over" quote of $170 for one issue. The excellent guys at Dennis Road Automotive diagnosed the problem, got the repair part, and replaced it for $220. They even called a week later to make sure everything was still working well. I cannot thank these guys enough for the great job they did and how much they helped me out!

Stopped here thought we were having some issues with the transmission but turns out it was something simple. Even though they were extremely busy they took the time to look it over and had us back on the road within an hour. I can not say enough good things about them. Brakes needed to be repaired, come to find out my rotors as well. Being that I'm a college student, I told them what my budget was. They were more than willing to work with me. I am glad there are still honest and understanding car mechanics around. 5 star all the way.

The guys at Dennis automotive took care of my 2005 Pathfinder and will definitely be back for any future things I might need in automotive repair. I had almost sold my Pathfinder due to the estimates from other repair shops on an emissions issue I had that was going to be thousands of dollars to replace catalytic converters and depending on that result may or may not pass inspection. I loved the vehicle and was upset that I was being forced to a decision when everything else seemed to be in good shape. I went to three other shops before I talked to Dennis Road Automotive. I am a CPA and have heard about Dennis Road through a client that has had great success using them so I decided to let them have a look. Not only was I surprised that they were able to address the mechanical issues quicker and more competitively prices, but that they kept me informed every step of the way. It is such a rare find when you can have confidence in a mechanic that they do what they say they are going to do and they stand behind their work. I hope to now keep the Pathfinder rolling confidently towards 200k miles and with the help of Dennis Road, have no doubt I will go there and probably well beyond.

I found Dennis Road Automotive by searching online. I'm SO glad we found this shop! We've had more than our fair share of car trouble over the years so I've been to plenty of shops. This is, BY FAR, my favorite. These guys are extremely friendly, honest, and helpful. They have picked me up and taken me home, given my kids little prizes, taken care of warranty paperwork for me, and they stand behind their work every time. I highly recommend visiting James and his team the next time your car needs work!

Absolutely the best automative service I've ever run into. I live in Georgia. While traveling in Dallas, TX I developed a loud noise related to a recently installed rebuilt transmission. The transmission company said there were several shops nearer my hotel that install their products but there was one in particular they could confidently recommend. I certainly now see why. While on the rack, they snowed me some play in my 2 u-joints and quoted a very reasonable price to replace them (the tranny was covered by the supplier). They let me come under the lift and see everything before and after. My regular guy back home would have charged more and would never have called me later to be sure all was well like they did. Even had another call from them well after I was back home in Georgia to be sure all was still o.k. Amazing! I've use 2 good shops here and know both owners well. But they look pretty weak compared to Dennis Road Automotive. Their kind of service and care is highly unusual in my experience. I really appreciate the rebuilder in Jasper, IN guiding me to them.

Dennis Road Automotive replaced the motor, two catalytic converters and did the state inspection on my SUV. They did a great job, I'm very glad I went to them. The shop is very well equipped and the Mechanics are very knowledgeable and are qualified to do a complex job like replacing a motor to a simple task like a state inspection. James even called the motor's Warranty Company directly to help me avoid the hassle of dealing with a very unpleasant claim specialist, Thank You James! ? Nothing but positive things to say about Dennis Road Automotive. 2007 Chevy Silverado had reduced engine power, traction control and stabilitrak issue. James first tried to see if issue was covered by manufacturer because of a recent recall. They're in business to make money like everyone else, but they review all options and communicate very well with their customers. Honesty and integrity goes a long way. I'll never go anywhere else.

I have been to many auto repair shops in the DFW area. Most were OK, but when I took my husband's 96 Chevy z-71 to Dennis Road, I was the most satisfied I have been in years with an auto repair shop. They were confident and took time to be sure they understood my concerns.They fixed the truck quickly and efficiently. I waited in their comfortable waiting room until the repairs were done. I have only had great experiences with DRA, and I have exclusively used them for the last 4 years. They have saved me more money than I've actually spent. Another mechanic told me I needed 4 new struts, so I took it to DRA and James was very quick to tell me they were completely fine. Savings - 1,300. Also, I took a work truck in with what seemed to be a blown turbo, again another mechanic told me it would be 3,000 to fix. James saw that it was only a loose hose and fixed it for practically nothing. This is the most honest group I've ever had the pleasure of working with and I recommend them to anyone I know that ever has an auto problem. Thank you DRA.
